Questions
Does it work on my phone or tablet?
Yes. It runs in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to download or install. You drag back to aim and tap to use a power, with a finger or a mouse.
Do I need an account?
Not for the Meadows. Press Play and you are in. The Wildwood needs a free founders’ account, and Frostfell and Wolfcrag are still to come.
Can my children play?
Yes, and they don’t need an account. Children play the Meadows and we collect nothing from them. Making an account is for adults only, 18 or over, so a parent signs up if the family wants the Wildwood.
Are there ads or in-game purchases?
No ads. No microtransactions. Ever. No coins, loot boxes or paid power-ups, and no nudges to spend.
How much does it cost?
The Meadows is free to play. Nobody is charged during early access, and founders keep Seething Sheep and every update to it, free for life. The founders’ page has the full deal.
Does it save my progress?
It saves in your browser, on the device you play on. Clear your browser’s site data and the save goes with it.
Can I change the controls or make it easier on the eyes?
Yes. Settings has volume sliders, a reduced-motion option, colour-blind-safe cues, larger buttons and text, one-handed aiming, and keys or gamepad buttons you can remap.
Who makes it?
I’m Jonathan Hill. I make every game here, with AI, and I say so. Hillmade Games is where I put my own games.
